The best way to generate targeted leads for your Ambit Energy business or any business for that matter is with your own splashpage. You can advertise anywhere you want and using your splashpage link, your leads will opt in personally. Let your aweber autoresponder do the work.
When advertising in newspapers however, be sure to use a domain address that is redirected to your splashpage. I’ll talk more about newspaper ads in my next post.
Your ad has to tell them just enough to want to click the splashpage link. The splashpage has to tell them enough to want to investigate further by completing the form. The rest should be passive. My advice is to call only if they choose “Please call ASAP” on the form. Otherwise, give them time to watch the video and read your emails. They WILL contact you if the interest is strong enough.
Don’t ever stop advertising! That, along with patience is the key. Your business won’t explode overnight but it will grow consistently if you set aside a reasonable budget as well as a time schedule for getting your ads out. Try to post at least one ad a week and expect to spend about $100 a month. You can spend more of course, but that depends on you and what you expect from yourself.
The leads you generate have value to you as long as they are active targeted leads. Don’t worry that they have not joined yet. Some will in time. Keep the lines of communication open and be sure to respond quickly when someone does contact you with questions.

Hi Lise,
I am planning on enrolling in Ambit Enery through Mick Depp’s site. He spoke very highly of you the times I called him. Do you recommend also purchasing the Ambit website and/or should I get a splash page like the one you designed? I am planning on contacting Mick about marketing Ambit effectively once I get enrolled. I think I am going to promote through Adsite.com per his recommendation that they are reliable and give good results. Has this program been successful for you compared to others? I notice you are already a Senior Consultant.

Yes, you absolutely need the Ambit websites as well. The splashpage would not work without them and your prospects need a place to go to get the info on Ambit.
I have been very successful with Ambit…. it’s an awesome program. Using the splashpage is the key!
